Jelle Visser

In 2005 Jelle Visser started the study “Composition & Music Production” at the "Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht". In the end of the second year he became more and more interested in Sound Design.
In 2008 he was nominated for the European Talent Award for “Soundtrack Cologne”. His entry was a version of  the short animation "Ark”, he worked in tight collaboration with Stan Koch, who was responsible for the music. Jelle has worked with several directors and composers from inside and outside the HKU. In 2009 he acquired his bachelor honours degree.

Within GreenCouch Jelle's main focus is on sound design. Because of his background as a composer his approach is usually a musical approach.
In his work the relation between music and sound design is always one that is very important. The main focus should always be the purpous the director or the customer has.

Just like the other members of GreenCouch an open attitude and the sharing of information are of great importance to Jelle. This can be found in his activities outside of GreenCouch, Jelle is a part time teacher of sound at Mediacollege Amsterdam.

In his spare time Jelle likes to play in a band. For instance he played at the "Bimhuis" and "Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ" with the Zappa coverband "Stinkfoot ".
